The Hudson Valley is a neighborhood about 70 miles north of New York City.
Our Hudson Valley neighbors commute to New York City to work. We have easy access to New York City either by Metro North Railroad, Coach or Shortline Bus, or by car.
There is so much history in the Hudson Valley. We have West Point, George Washington's Headquarters, Brotherhood Winery (the oldest in America). We also have Woodbury Commons shopping outlets (over 100 designer outlet stores all in one area), and the Orange County Choppers. We are also about one hour south of the new Bethel Woods concert area.
Are you a first time buyer? If so, there is a wealth of information that you can use. I ask my buyer clients to sign a Buyer’s Agreement. Why you ask, because as a Buyer Agent there will be someone protecting your interests as a Buyer. You need representation for the transaction just as well as the seller. If you do not sign a Buyer’s agreement, the agent is just working for the Seller and not YOU. Did you also know of the first time home buyer tax credit? This year qualifying home buyers who buy a home before April, 2010 can claim the credit on either their 2010 tax returns. They do not have to repay the credit, provided the home remains their main home for 36 months after the purchase date. They can claim 10% of the purchase price up to $8,000.00 or $4,000.00 for married individuals filing separately.
